Steam local setup

Plug in your controllers before launching the game. On Steam, go to Big Picture → Settings → Controller, and enable the layout you want. Two-player couch co-op works with mixed controller types (Xbox + PlayStation + keyboard) in most cases.

PS5 couch co-op

Up to four DualSense controllers. The game's haptics only fire on Player 1 by default; if you want all four to pulse, enable it in the options menu.

Xbox couch co-op

Up to four Xbox Wireless Controllers. Smart Delivery picks the right build for your console automatically.

Split-screen notes

Split-screen is camera-bound — the game splits the viewport into thirds or quarters. On smaller TVs you may want to drop the resolution to keep text readable.
