MachineParty+ and couch co-op

MachineParty+ (maintained by Ghostx10742 and Krunk-theduck) layers on top of the stock 4-player cap: a global server browser, voice chat, text chat, player moderation, a live mutation scoreboard, and Arabic localisation alongside the game's existing languages. The server browser only works when people are hosting public lobbies, so expect a thin player pool at first.

Grab MachineParty+ from Nexus Mods, then drop the archive into your Machine Party data directory. The mod publishes a one-click revert that restores the previous version. Save data is compatible.

MachineParty+ has held up across the v2.0 (Couch Co-op) and v2.1.2 patches as of 2026-08. Some other mods that touch player count are not compatible: check the mod page before stacking.

If the goal is a serious run with friends on patch day, skip MachineParty+ until 2–3 days post-patch. The server browser is the most fragile feature; voice and chat rarely break.
