Step 1: NAT type
Most 'can't connect' reports are NAT issues. Confirm your NAT type is 'Open' or 'Moderate' in your platform's network settings. If it shows 'Strict' or 'Symmetric', enable UPnP on your router, or set a static IP and forward the platform's ports. See the ports and NAT page for the per-platform port list.
Step 2: region match
Region mismatch is a silent failure: the game won't warn you. The host picks the closest region; the joining player should pick the same region. Mismatched regions cause 'lobby not found' or instant disconnects.
Step 3: invite path
Cross-platform invites (Steam → PS5, PS5 → Xbox) sometimes get dropped. As a fallback, use the room ID system: the host shares the 6-character ID, friends paste it into Online, then Join. Room IDs are case-insensitive and expire when the host quits.
Step 4: stuck lobby
If a friend is in your lobby but the round won't start, have them quit and rejoin. If the host is the one stuck, restart the game on the host side: this clears a known stuck state from earlier patches.
Step 5: ask the community
If you're still stuck, post in r/klubnikagames or the Discord #tech-support channel with your platform, NAT type, region, and the exact error or behaviour. Most issues have a one-line fix that someone has already found.
See the per-platform port list
If your NAT is the suspected culprit, the ports page has the per-platform ranges and a NAT-type checklist.
